With shared progression across all Black Ops 7 modes, Treyarch is ensuring that time spent in Endgame contributes meaningfully to overall player advancement.

Treyarch’s decision to cancel Outbreak for Black Ops 7 has stirred both curiosity and excitement among fans. The studio has replaced the beloved open-world Zombies experience with a brand-new PvE mode called “Endgame.” Players gearing up for the new release—and even those who buy bot lobbies bo7 to practice competitive strategies—are eager to see how this bold shift plays out.

Initially, data miners suggested Outbreak would make a comeback, complete with Avalon-based exploration and multi-zone difficulty scaling. But as Black Ops 7 development evolved, Treyarch pivoted toward creating something far more ambitious. Endgame is a massive 32-player cooperative experience that mixes the best aspects of DMZ, Modern Warfare Zombies, and the original Outbreak formula.

The objective is simple but challenging: explore Avalon, complete objectives, fight AI enemies (including zombies), and build your operator’s combat rating to unlock higher-difficulty zones. Endgame’s design emphasizes choice—players can focus on upgrading health, armor, or mobility, shaping their operator’s role in combat.

Treyarch describes Endgame as a “roguelike journey” where death carries real weight. If eliminated, you lose all progress, including your combat rating. However, completing runs allows players to retain some upgrades for future missions.

With shared progression across all Black Ops 7 modes, Treyarch is ensuring that time spent in Endgame contributes meaningfully to overall player advancement. Season 1 through 3 updates are already in development, with the studio promising to expand the mode if community engagement remains strong.
